Rabbi Hamaoui is a Sephardic Rabbi and the Rabbi of the Persian Hebrew Congregation in Skokie. He welcomes Jewish families of every background and level of observance.
Families may call during pregnancy or contact him as soon as their son is born. He takes time to explain the process, understand the family’s minhagim, and coordinate the ceremony without making parents feel rushed.
A Brit Mila may take place at a home, synagogue, event venue, or hospital where the facility permits it. In addition to Skokie, Rabbi Hamaoui regularly serves nearby communities including Lincolnwood, Evanston, Wilmette, Highland Park, Northbrook, Buffalo Grove, and greater Chicagoland.
